This pale merlot is showing garnet, maturing colour. It has a quite complete and complex nose mindful of ageing Bordeaux, with leather, cedar, dried cherry fruit and spice. It’s mid-weight, fairly well balanced, with considerable wood on the finsih. Tannins have softened, so drink over the next two years. Good complexity and length for the money.
